King Charles III has vowed to offer “complete and unwavering support” for the inquiry into his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who faces serious allegations. The monarch emphasized the importance of allowing “the law to follow its due course.”
The statement from King Charles was issued shortly after Andrew, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was detained on Thursday—his 66th birthday. He is suspected of misconduct in his public duties and accused of sharing sensitive information with the notorious Jeffrey Epstein.
Expressing his deep concern, King Charles remarked, “I have been informed with profound worry about the situation involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the allegations of misconduct in public office.”
He assured that a “comprehensive, fair, and proper process” would ensue, handled by the appropriate authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter.
Reiterating his stance, King Charles stated, “As mentioned previously, they have our complete and unwavering support and cooperation,” while reiterating the necessity for the law to proceed without hindrance.
Andrew has consistently refuted any misconduct in connection with Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender.
