Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhouse is married, teases more news to come

After a notable absence, Kyle Rittenhouse resurfaced on social media this week with the announcement of his marriage. Previously acquitted for the fatal shooting of two protesters during a Black Lives Matter rally in 2020, Rittenhouse shared this personal milestone with his followers.

Rittenhouse gained national attention following the Kenosha, Wisconsin incident, where, at 17, he shot three people during protests ignited by George Floyd’s death. His actions garnered widespread support from right-wing personalities, including President Trump and Tucker Carlson, and he became a prominent figure at conservative gatherings.

In the years following the incident, Rittenhouse leveraged his notoriety to support pro-gun policymakers and initiatives, until his presence on social media abruptly vanished in July.

Breaking his silence, Rittenhouse returned on Wednesday with a series of posts, featuring wedding photos alongside his wife, Bella Rittenhouse. The couple, armed in their wedding portraits, had tied the knot six months prior, he revealed.

In an additional post, Rittenhouse detailed his decision to step away from the spotlight almost a year ago.

“I withdrew from public life back in January — seeking tranquility and a fresh beginning, far removed from the relentless noise and turmoil,” he shared on X. “This decision transformed my life… I met and married my best friend, gaining more peace and purpose than I had ever imagined.”

Rittenhouse also teased “more big announcements” to come and claimed to be “back in the fight,” particularly citing the “brutal assassination of my friend Charlie Kirk.”

One of his stated initiatives is to help defeat moderate Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales, who’s up for reelection in November. Rittenhouse moved to the Lone Star State in 2022, according to Austin NBC affiliate KXAN.

Rittenhouse added that’s he’s currently being sued for $20 million, but trusts “the Lord” to handle that situation. The family of one of the men Rittenhouse killed filed a 2021 wrongful death suit. A man wounded by Rittenhouse in Kenosha is also seeking restitution.
