In an astonishing turn of events, a family stumbled upon a leopard taking refuge under their bed, a surprise guest that had apparently wandered from a nearby forest and walked right in through the open front door.
The startling occurrence took place on April 17 in Mysuru’s Siddhartha Layout, situated in Karnataka, southern India, where residents were left in disbelief by their unexpected feline visitor.
Suresh, a local inhabitant, was engrossed in work on his laptop when a housekeeper burst in, bringing the alarming news of the wild creature’s presence inside their home.
Thinking quickly, Suresh secured the room by locking it from the outside, effectively containing the leopard until expert assistance could arrive.
Shortly thereafter, the Leopard Task Force reached the scene, joined by a veterinarian from the Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens to handle the situation.
The team successfully tranquilized the nearly four-year-old leopard, then expertly ensnared it with nets before ensuring its safe relocation away from the residential vicinity.
The leopard was later released back into the wild.
