Although millennials initially claimed they didn’t want a live-action version of Lilo and Stitch, a significant number went to see the new adaptation in theaters. It’s likely even more viewers will opt to watch the 2025 Lilo and Stitch film at home, as it’s set to become available on digital platforms for purchase and rent starting tomorrow.
Helmed by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On) and penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright alongside Mike Van Waes, this Lilo and Stitch remake revisits the 2002 animated classic. Maia Kealoha debuts as Lilo, while Chris Sanders reprises his role as the voice of Stitch in this CGI rendition of the beloved character. The film also features Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Hannah Waddingham, Billy Magnussen, Zach Galifianakis, and Courtney B. Vance. Additionally, some original voice actors make appearances, such as Tia Carrere (voice of Nani in the animated version, now Mrs. Kekoa), Amy Hill (formerly Mrs. Hasagawa, now introducing a new character), and Jason Scott Lee (previously David, now playing a lūʻau manager).
The 2025 release of Lilo and Stitch was a box office hit, grossing over $1 billion globally. Beginning on Tuesday, July 22 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also July 21 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time), Lilo and Stitch 2025 will be available to buy digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie costs $29.99 to buy, and $24.99 to rent.
Lilo and Stitch 2025 is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but because it is a Disney movie, we do expect to see Lilo and Stitch streaming on Disney+ soon.

Lilo and Stitch 2025 will likely stream on Disney+ in the next month or so, because it is a Disney movie. All the new Disney theatrical movies end up streaming on Disney+, often about three to six months after opening in theaters.
Another recent Disney movie, Snow White 2025, was released on premium video-on-demand about two months after opening in theaters, and began streaming on Disney+ about three months after opening in theaters. If Lilo and Stitch follows a similar release strategy, you may see Lilo and Stitch streaming on Disney+ around late August 2025.
That said, the Lilo and Stitch 2025 movie Disney+ release date has not yet officially been announced. This is all guesswork, so take it with a grain of salt.
