Senator Lindsey Graham has deemed President Trump’s decision to launch airstrikes on Iran’s Kharg Island as “necessary,” asserting that the significant bombardment of this vital oil hub could potentially expedite the end of the conflict.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X on Saturday, Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, described the attacks as “bold” and “highly effective.” He emphasized the strategic importance of the island, which is responsible for handling 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports. Echoing President Trump’s sentiments expressed on Friday, Graham referred to the island as Tehran’s “crown jewel” due to its critical role in the nation’s economy.
