Typically, such emails lack excitement and appeal; for example, California Gov. Gavin Newsom—whom I suggest calling “Governor Grim”—dispatched one on Thursday claiming that people who supported the One Big Beautiful Bill were “very small and pathetic.”

He ought to take lessons from Kennedy, who wrote this about wild-eyed New York democrat socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani:
