RICHARD JOHNSON: Luigi Mangione obeying ‘all the rules’ in jail, counseling other inmates

Luigi Mangione, currently on trial for allegedly murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, seems to be adopting the demeanor of a model prisoner while in custody.

“He’s quite pleasant and adheres to all the rules. Definitely not one to cause problems,” remarked attorney Arthur Aidala. Although Aidala does not represent Mangione, he does have a client at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where Mangione is being held.

According to Aidala, one inmate even mentioned, “Luigi showed me the ropes.”

“He’s been offering guidance to other inmates,” Aidala further stated.

Mangione often utilizes the visiting area’s computer-equipped booths to go over legal documents.

“He’s actively involved in preparing his defense,” Aidala confirmed.
