'American Idol' judge Luke Bryan makes wishes come true again! He reunites with a Make-A-Wish alumni after meeting 10 years ago

Each April, Disney joins forces with Make-A-Wish to mark World Wish Month and the company’s own Week of Wishes. Over the past 45 years, their partnership has brought joy to over 170,000 children facing critical health challenges. This year, “American Idol” judge Luke Bryan celebrated by reuniting with a Make-A-Wish alumna, highlighting the spirit of giving back.

Ashley Persson, who met Bryan over a decade ago during a tour in Santa Clara, experienced a heartwarming surprise when she met the country star once again. Reflecting on her experience, Persson shared with ABC7 how Bryan embodies his values through his actions, saying, “His commitment to serving others and positively impacting lives speaks volumes.”

Bryan expressed his admiration for the Make-A-Wish program, noting the impact it has on children facing tough times. “The opportunity to change their day into something memorable, whether it’s backstage or on the road, is something I deeply value,” Bryan remarked.

When Persson first encountered Bryan through Make-A-Wish, she had just completed cancer treatment and was preparing for college. Now, she has enjoyed 11 years of being cancer-free. Bryan himself has fulfilled over 50 wishes, cementing his commitment to the cause.
