New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stands out as an exceptionally focused Democratic leader, consistently redirecting conversations toward the “Palestinian cause.” Regardless of the topic or event, Mamdani often frames discussions around allegations that Israel, supported by the U.S., is engaged in “genocide” against groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, who have openly expressed desires to eliminate the Jewish people and their allies.
This was evident during the weekend of March 7th and 8th, when Mamdani’s initial response to an attempted terrorist attack by two young adults—who, according to the DOJ, were inspired by ISIS—targeting anti-Mamdani protesters at Gracie Mansion, was to denounce Islamophobia.
“The protest was a despicable demonstration rooted in white supremacy titled ‘Stop the Islamic takeover of New York City,'” Mamdani stated. “As the first Muslim mayor of this city, I am no stranger to anti-Muslim bigotry, nor are the nearly one million New Yorkers who call this city home,” he added, while briefly acknowledging the incident involving the use of IEDs.
