Man killed, woman hospitalized after shooting at St. Marys apartment complex

The St. Marys Police Department said no charges have been filed as the shooting remains under investigation.

In St. Marys, Georgia, a tragic incident took place on Saturday evening at an apartment complex in Camden County, resulting in the death of a man from Yulee and hospitalization of a woman. The St. Marys Police Department reported the incident.

At 6:09 p.m., law enforcement was called to the Wellington Way Apartments located on Winding Road due to reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals with gunshot injuries.

One of the victims, 23-year-old Jadeon Andredeshawn Wilson, was transported to the Southeast Georgia Health System’s Camden Campus, where he was declared deceased.

The other victim, 23-year-old Jhainesia Keniya Glover, was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital. Authorities have confirmed that she is in stable condition and her injuries are not life-threatening.

A 23-year-old man named Michael Anthony Massey was detained for questioning in relation to the shootings. Investigators arrested Massey on an unrelated warrant, and he was subsequently held at the Camden County Jail.

Right now, no charges have been filed as the shooting remains under investigation.

The Kingsland Police Department and Camden County Sheriff’s Office assisted during the incident.
