“Family is about connecting to something bigger than yourself.”

That’s a line from the final trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” And it certainly seems like the perfect motto for this crew.

The Fantastic Four crew consists of Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, played by Pedro Pascal, Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, portrayed by Vanessa Kirby, Ben Grimm, known as The Thing, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Johnny Storm, referred to as the Human Torch, played by Joseph Quinn.

Their latest and most formidable adversary is the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner, who arrives with a chilling message: “I herald his beginning, I herald your end. I herald Galactus.”

Indeed, the cosmic entity Galactus, characterized by Ralph Ineson, poses a significant threat aiming to unleash destruction, leaving the responsibility to the Fantastic Four to prevent Earth’s annihilation. Complicating matters, the official description reveals that “as if Galactus’ intention to consume the planet and all its inhabitants weren’t dire enough, the situation takes a deeply personal turn.”

In the final trailer, seen in the video player above, we do get a glimpse of the big bad himself, Galactus, we see more of the team using their powers for good. But what we don’t see, try as they might, is The Thing saying his famous line, “It’s clobberin’ time!”

Safe to say that’s coming when “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” swoops into theaters July 25.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Marvel Studios and this ABC station.
