A NYPD housing officer, who was off duty but still in uniform, was violently attacked and robbed of his firearm and other belongings by two masked individuals, leaving him unconscious in the Bronx on Saturday, according to police sources.

The 27-year-old officer had just finished his shift and was heading to his personal car on St. Peters Avenue in Parkchester around 4:10 a.m. when the assailants, dressed entirely in black, assaulted him and stole his gun belt—with the weapon still in it—from the vehicle.

The cop, who was not immediately identified, suffered a fractured eye socket after being kicked in the head while lying on the floor, sources said.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition later Saturday.

The officer was on a call with another cop when the attackers confronted him, and he pleaded, “Don’t shoot me! I’m a cop!” before the thieves fled, a source reported.

Besides the officer’s gun, the masked bandits took off with his wallet, ID cards and his personal and NYPD-issued phones, sources said.

Police are investigating the crime as part of a larger Bronx robbery scheme, sources said.
