SUPPORTERS have rallied behind the wife of CEO Andy Byron after he was caught on a Coldplay kiss cam canoodling with his HR chief.
While the two attempted to conceal their identities at Boston’s Gillette Stadium, online sleuths quickly sprang into action, identifying Megan Kerrigan Byron as the spouse of the head of Astronomer.
Mere hours after the video gained traction online, fans flocked to her Facebook page, applauding her for discreetly dropping “Byron” from her name before deciding to remove her account entirely.
Her Instagram also disappeared.
One X user said: “Andy Byron‘s wife has now dropped her married name on Facebook and left comments open on her Facebook!
“What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money.”
Another wrote: “Get that check, girl.”
A third added: “Hope she takes him for all he’s worth.”
Another said: “She deserves so much better.”
In the awkward video captured during Coldplay’s concert on Wednesday night, Byron was observed with his arms wrapped around Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer, just as the kiss cam focused on them.
The pair reacted like deer in headlights with Byron diving behind a barrier and Cabot hiding her face.
And frontman Chris Martin remarked to the crowd: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
As he caught view of himself, Byron appeared to say “f****** hell, it’s me”.
Grace Springer, 28, who filmed the now-viral clip, said she had no idea who the couple was.
She told The U.S. Sun: “When I posted late last night before bed it was picking up traction with a couple thousand views. I woke up to seven million. Now over 30 million.”
By Friday morning, the video had 46million views and 4.9million likes.
Grace added: “A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games… win stupid prizes.”
Byron, who has led Astronomer since July 2023, and Cabot — hired just nine months ago — have yet to publicly address the scandal.
The Sun has also approached Astronomer for comment.
The CEO previously called Cabot a “proven leader” with “exceptional leadership”.
Cabot, who uses the name Kristin Cabot Thornby on LinkedIn, boasted she “wins trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants.”
The public, however, isn’t buying it — and they’ve picked their side.
“Sorry for the wife but glad they’re being exposed and embarrassed,” one user wrote.
Another asked: “Why would you go to a concert of all places if you are having an affair?”
As the video circulated online, the drama deepened with a torrent of fake statements and posts.
One bogus statement pretending to be Byron’s quoted Coldplay’s Fix You lyrics and referred to the incident as a “deeply personal mistake.”
Astronomer swiftly confirmed the post was fake, and similar spoof statements falsely attributed to Coldplay also began making the rounds.
Coldplay has not introduced “camera-free audience sections for people and their sidepieces,” despite a viral hoax on X claiming otherwise.
One man even claimed he was fired from Astronomer for buying the Coldplay tickets that led to the scandal.
