Woke Minneapolis Mayor Appears to 'Wishcast' Death and Injury to ICE Amid 'Operation Metro Surge'

Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis finds himself on a tightrope, balancing his political future and the sentiments of the city’s Somali community. Recently, he faced a significant challenge from a Democratic Socialist, highlighting the urgency for him to align his policies with the concerns of this influential demographic. Amidst this backdrop, Frey is vocal about his opposition to the ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) initiatives, specifically “Operation Metro Surge,” which has targeted the area.

In early December, ICE reported a series of arrests under this operation, including individuals charged with serious offenses like child sex crimes, domestic violence, and gang activities. Despite these claims, local leaders and residents have expressed strong opposition to ICE’s presence and actions in their communities.

Mirroring past events such as “Operation Midway Blitz” in Illinois, Minneapolis has seen a wave of protests. Residents are actively resisting ICE’s efforts, with figures like Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Mayor Frey, and the city’s police chief making it clear that federal immigration enforcement is unwelcome in the state. In an unprecedented move, the police department has even advised citizens to contact emergency services if ICE agents attempt to detain them or enter their homes.

This stance is indicative of a broader political strategy, as local leaders, including Frey, align themselves closely with figures like Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar (MN-05) to showcase their opposition to policies associated with former President Donald Trump. This alignment aims to solidify support among Minneapolis’s diverse population, particularly within the Somali community.

Mayor Frey further elaborated on his position during an appearance on MS NOW, stating his commitment to protecting residents from what he views as overreaching federal actions.

Frey went on MS NOW to declare this.

Then there is this embarrassing display, similar to 2020, where Frey kneeled and cried in front of George Floyd’s golden casket. In the clip below, Frey tries to speak Somali in order to show he is one of them.

Wait, What? Minneapolis Police Chief Urges Residents to Call 911 on ICE Agents

But at a press conference this week, Frey appeared to cross a line in his blind allegiance. He said,

I am increasingly concerned because of the chaos that is being caused by these ICE agents that somebody is going to get seriously injured or killed. Somebody is going to get seriously injured or killed.

Why did he choose to say this twice? And who does he refer to when he says, “somebody”? The Minneapolis activists? ICE agents? This is strangely cryptic, and in the current atmosphere could well be taken as a veiled threat. One wonders.

Frey continued his rant, claiming that the entire situation is becoming explosive.

And whether that is an ICE agent or a community member, we all know the tinder box that could explode because of it. We all know that the federal government is looking for reasons to deploy more and more people to Minneapolis and blue cities around the country. We all know that we cannot afford to lose a single Minneapolis resident because they showed up and decided to protect their neighbors. Because they showed up and decided to express their constitutional right to free speech.

WATCH:

Was this a cautionary warning, or a dog whistle? Frey’s statement not only cemented the left’s false narrative about Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda, but it also supplied kindling for that tinder box he claims that his city currently is. The question is, who plans to light the match?

As we close out the year, with mass casualty incidents on the wind, it might be wise to keep an eye on Minneapolis.

Editor’s Note: We voted for mass deportations, not mass amnesty. Help us continue to fight back against those trying to go against the will of the American people.
