THE parents of missing baby Emmanuel Haro have claimed they were forced to call 911 just days after their son was allegedly kidnapped.
Little Emmanuel, seven months, was reportedly taken after his mom said she was ambushed.
While his parents were parked in a sports shop lot in Yucaipa, California, their infant son was having his diaper changed right before vanishing on August 14.
His disappearance has sparked a search that has been ongoing for more than a week.
The enigma of Emmanuel’s case has captivated public attention, but his parents, Rebecca and Jake, have reported facing threatening messages, according to NewsNation.
The outlet also reported that the couple had to call 911 on Wednesday.
Items were allegedly stolen from their porch and strangers banged onto their door.
Some individuals gathering outside the family’s home in Cabazon, approximately 23 miles from Yucaipa, reportedly pursued the couple as they drove away.
“It’s a bit of a circus outside of the house,” NewsNation producer Allison Weiner said.
“These people are walking onto the lawn, they’re walking up to the house, they’re banging on the door. I saw some of that behavior.”
Weiner said Jake is “very frightened.”
San Bernardino County cops, the force investigating Emmanuel’s disappearance, said foul play hasn’t been ruled out.
Investigators noted how there were inconsistencies in Rebecca’s accounts.
She told cops she was assaulted by a man and was left unconscious following the alleged attack that happened near a Big 5 Sporting Goods store.
Rebecca was planning on buying a mouthguard for her older son.
She realized Emmanuel was missing when she regained consciousness.
“I took him out of his car seat, laid him down to prepare the diaper, and someone said, ‘Hola.’ That’s where my memory stops. I saw white,” she recounted to the ABC affiliate KABC-TV.
“I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up, I couldn’t find my son.”
She said she heard a stranger’s voice before being attacked.
