MomTok tackles secrets, lies and relationship resets in season four of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

Season four of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” promises a thrilling ride, heightening the drama and intrigue surrounding the friendships, relationships, and career decisions of the #MomTok community.

The show features an ensemble cast including Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Jennifer Affleck, Layla Taylor, Miranda Hope, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, and Jessi Draper. Together, they navigate a whirlwind of experiences that keep viewers hooked with every episode.

Reflecting on the season’s events, Jessi shared with On The Red Carpet, “There were so many moments where you look back and think, ‘Did that just happen?’ While it makes for compelling television, living through it feels almost surreal.”

Layla chimed in, describing the season as “chaotic,” highlighting the group’s knack for creating mayhem. “Goodness gracious, this group can make some chaos! That’s for sure,” she added, capturing the essence of the unfolding drama.

This season delves into a variety of storylines: Taylor’s journey as she is named Bachelorette, the ensuing chaos of her departure for the Mansion, Jen and Whitney’s rivalry on “Dancing With The Stars” which tests their relationship, a boys’ trip that spells trouble for #DadTok, and the suspense surrounding Demi Engemann’s continued involvement in #MomTok.

Whitney summed up the excitement, saying, “This was such a big season with significant developments for every single cast member. I believe viewers will be on the edge of their seats, eager to see what happens next.”

“What’s going to happen with Taylor? What’s gonna happen with Mikayla and her relationship and Whitney going to do ‘Chicago?’ Like all those things, I feel like even, I have those questions watching it even though we were living it and we kind of know what happens,” said Mayci. “As a viewer watching it I was like, oh…what friendships are going to continue to thrive? Which ones are going to maybe fall apart and never mend?”

Cameras are always rolling and the good, the bad and the ugly are featured on the show. It’s taken some getting used to for the ladies, but they hope what they show can help those who watch in some way.

“I think there’s like kind of a mix where I feel like with my health stuff and my marriage stuff and trauma, whatever, I’m very happy to share it because it is isolating and I like watching people and their stories and getting advice or hearing from them. And so I’m happy to do that,” Mikayla explained. “I think it’s obviously a work in progress and gonna continue to be a work in progress for awhile.”

At the root of #MomTok is friendship and Miranda explained that given all the drama of the season, that was more important than ever!

“It’s not my job to judge you, it’s my job to be there for you. That is my role as a friend and obviously like sometimes there comes a point where you have to set a boundary as friends in certain situations when it’s starting to take a toll on you,” she said. “I think we all open up about things that can maybe be considered taboo or, you know, things we know we might get chastised about or judged for. And I think as a friend, your job is to be there for your friend and be a safe space and have those open arms that they know that they can run to without that level of judgment.”

All episodes of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” are streaming now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
