Morgan Wallen trolled Saturday Night Live and responded to the criticism he received for his viral walk-off the show over the weekend with a new business venture.

On Saturday, the country singer, 31, made headlines for his ‘rude’ exit and for breaking the longstanding tradition of mingling with the cast until the credits finish rolling.

Shortly afterwards, he posted a photo of a private jet with the caption, ‘Get me to God’s country,’ on his Instagram Story.

Several days later, he responded to the controversy and launched a line of merch with the catchphrase plastered on T-shirts and hats that are priced at $45.

The You Proof singer shared a photo of the designs of his new merch, which is available to preorder on his website, on his Instagram Story on Tuesday.

Many social media users, including his fans, took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to his release.

Some wondered if it was an April Fools’ joke while others applauded his response to the harsh criticism.

Some other people called him a ‘grifter’ and insulted his design for being ‘corny’ or for looking ‘AI-generated.’

One person tweeted about how he coincidentally posted on the first day of the month: ‘Is this not an April Fools’ joke?’

‘Girllll not the merch,’ one person tweeted while another called his new T-shirt and hat line ‘corny.’

‘I mean, way to double down,’ another social media user wrote alongside a rolling with laughter emoji.

Some people applauded him for his response to the controversy. ‘He kinda ate with this,’ a fan tweeted.

In response to the announcement and news, one X user tweeted a GIF with a shocked reaction to him clapping back.

‘Good on him, at least he did not throw any chairs,’ another user joked, referring to one of his past controversies.

There were also people accusing him of trying to make money off the controversy.

Some people called him a ‘grifter’ and claimed his abrupt exit was a planned marketing tactic to sell merch.

There were also social media users making fun of his design, which a few said looked similar to Coors’ beer brand design or infringed on Blake Shelton’s song of the same name.

‘No one is buying that,’ several people tweeted.

This all comes after the criticism Wallen released over the weekend when he made a musical guest appearance alongside the Oscar-winning Anora actress Mikey Madison on hosting duties.

After his quick exit, he seemingly headed straight to the airport to return to the Midwest.

He snapped a photo of a jet on the tarmac from the view out of his window seat and wrote an eyebrow-raising caption for his 8.3 million followers.

‘Get me to God’s country,’ he wrote Saturday as he was getting ready to leave New York City right after his performance.

The country crooner was slammed for his performance on social media, but near the end of this weekend’s taping of the iconic sketch comedy show, his ‘rude’ act garnered even more fan disapproval.

Since then, however, a source from his team has since told Variety that Wallen had a good time on the show and did not mean to cause any offense with his abrupt exit and Instagram post.

This all comes as the controversy-attracting star faced legal troubles and was caught up in a number of scandals including using the N-word and also throwing a chair off a rooftop on two separate drunken outings.

After a number of scandals, the controversy-suffused country music star made his sophomore appearance on the show following his 2020 debut.

Four years ago, he temporarily stalled his career after he was caught on tape drunkenly shouting the N-word outside his home in February of 2021.

The N-word controversy led to public condemnation of Wallen, but fans of the singer responded to him using the offensive racial slur by listening to his music more than ever, leading to a 500 percent increase in streaming numbers.
