In the heart of Los Angeles, the beloved Muppets are rolling out the red carpet for a special event that brings a blend of music, comedy, and delightful pandemonium to the iconic Muppet Theatre. This revival of “The Muppet Show” promises to rekindle the magic where it all began.
Joining Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and their whimsical crew are notable guests Sabrina Carpenter and Seth Rogen. Their collaboration with the Muppets is set to spark laughter and entertainment for audiences old and new.
In a newly released teaser, Kermit teases the show’s return with his signature wit, saying, “It’s the return of ‘The Muppet Show,’ back on the very stage where it all started, and then ended, and is maybe starting again depending on how tonight goes.” His playful uncertainty adds to the charm of the upcoming spectacle.
The teaser also gives fans a sneak peek of a delightful moment between Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy. Carpenter, clearly thrilled to be part of the event, affectionately tells Miss Piggy, “You are an icon.”
This special event is poised to capture the essence of the original show while introducing fresh dynamics through its exciting guest stars. The Muppets are ready to take the stage once again, inspiring both nostalgia and anticipation.
“You are an icon,” Carpenter tells her.
“You’re too sweet,” Miss Piggy replies bashfully. “Go on.”
Rogen and Fozzie Bear have a heart-to-heart, one comedian to another.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to be here,” Rogen says.
Fozzie responds, “Oh… Got any other dreams?”
The new “The Muppet Show” special premieres February 4 on ABC and Disney+.
