Alert National Guard Members in D.C. Stop 'Potentially Life-Threatening' Situation (and That's Not All)

On Thursday night, President Donald Trump personally visited and expressed his gratitude to National Guard members and federal law enforcement officers for their efforts in reducing crime in the city.

According to the D.C. Police Union, there have been notable reductions in violent crime, such as carjackings and robberies. Specifically, robbery incidents have decreased by 46 percent, and overall violent crime is down by 22 percent.

One of the best stats so far is that there hasn’t been a murder in a week.

As Fox columnist David Marcus noted:

By Wednesday afternoon, Washington, D.C., experienced a significant milestone with no murders reported for seven consecutive days. This achievement marks the first time since March that such a streak has occurred, particularly impressive during the summer months, when murder rates are typically higher.

Examples of positive actions include National Guard members assisting citizens, like helping an elderly woman with her steps and her cart. While some might critique such displays, they embody the supportive presence in the community.

In one instance, the woman thanked the Guard member at around 22 seconds into a video clip, to which he responded kindly and wished her a good night. These acts of service are helping to create a sense of safety and community in the nation’s capital.

These are the people the leftist protesters are screaming about.

Whatever the Democrats or the left say, this is the reality, and good on the Guard for doing their part to help Americans.
