NBC News national correspondent, Stephanie Gosk, is taking steps to officially conclude her 13-year marriage with Jenna Wolfe, a former host of the “Today” show. This development marks a significant chapter in their lives as they navigate the end of their long-term relationship.
Stephanie Gosk, who has garnered acclaim as an Emmy-winning journalist, formally submitted divorce papers on Wednesday. This information was reported by TMZ, highlighting a significant legal step in their separation process.
The decision to file for divorce comes over four years after the pair discreetly went their separate ways back in September 2021. Their quiet split had remained under the radar until more recent developments came to light.
Jenna Wolfe, now 51, has attributed some of the strain on their relationship to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdown, as both were working from home. In an interview with People magazine in 2023, she shared that they chose to live apart to maintain a friendly relationship while co-parenting their children.
Reflecting on the situation, Wolfe explained, “When you’ve got two people on television, plus both kids trying to do Zoom school in a Manhattan apartment, there’s just no space anywhere.” This realization led to the decision that it was best for Stephanie to move out to preserve their relationship.
The couple got married in 2013, a pivotal year for Wolfe as she publicly came out as a lesbian and announced their anticipation of their first child together. That same year, they welcomed their daughter, Harper. Their family expanded with the birth of their second daughter, Quinn, in 2015.
Gosk has worked for as correspondent for NBC News since joining the network in 2006. Wolfe worked at “Today” as a correspondent and news anchor from 2007 to 2014, before later moving on to “First Things First” on Fox Sports.
