Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called upon Western nations to take prompt and decisive action against antisemitism, emphasizing the need to protect Jewish communities worldwide.
“I urge Western governments to take the necessary measures to combat antisemitism and ensure the security of Jewish populations globally,” Netanyahu stated, as per a translation from his office. The comments, originally delivered in Hebrew, were shared in a video released on Tuesday.
“They should take our warnings seriously. I insist on immediate action,” he further remarked.

His appeal followed a brutal terrorist act in Australia on Sunday.
The attack specifically targeted the Jewish community on Hanukkah’s opening day, as highlighted by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

During remarks Tuesday at a White House Hanukkah reception, President Donald Trump claimed that Congress “is becoming antisemitic.”

“You have AOC plus three. You have those people,” he said, referring to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and the progressive “Squad.”
“Ilhan Omar: She hates Jewish people,” he added, referring to the Minnesota congresswoman.
