In this trailer, a member of the Ash People narrates, “The fire emerged from the mountain, scorching our forests. My people pleaded for aid, but Eywa did not respond.”
Viewers witness the Sully family uniting once more to face human threats and other dangers. Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), a warrior and mother, is even adorned in the red and black hues traditional to the Ash People.
“What if every human being on Earth could live here without a mask? Then the Na’vi people will be gone,” says Jake Sully (Sam Worthington).
The new scenes introduce Miles “Spider” Socorro, a human who has discovered how to connect with Eywa and the Neural Network, enabling him to exist on Pandora without a mask. Spider even bonds with an aquatic creature using a neural queue, an organ prevalent among most Pandoran species.
