FEARS of a serial killer on the loose in New England have intensified after another body was discovered in baffling circumstances.

Police confirmed they are “tracking” the speculation as the grim death toll in the region hit 13 this year.

The latest victim, 21-year-old Adriana Suazo, was found in the woods of Milton, Massachusetts, on June 1.

Her body was discovered by a passerby just eight miles south of Boston, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.

The state’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said there were no signs of trauma, leaving the cause of death unclear, the New York Post reported.

Suazo’s family has described the circumstances as “suspicious” and are desperate for answers.

“I just want to know the truth about what happened to her,” her sister told Fox News.

“She was with someone either when she died or before.”

Her death is the latest among a series of bodies, primarily women, discovered in wooded or remote areas throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine since March.

Victims have turned up in varying conditions, from grisly dismemberment to unexplained, unattended deaths.

The mounting cases have fueled theories online that one person could be behind them.

A Facebook group called “New England Serial Killer” has become a hub for speculation, with members closely tracking each new discovery.

Police and prosecutors insist the cases are not connected, citing no forensic evidence to link them.

“There is no information at this time suggesting any connection … and no known threat to the public,” Connecticut State Police informed Fox News Digital, describing the rumors as “internet speculation.”

The first case this year was on March 6, when 35-year-old Paige Fannon’s body was pulled from Connecticut’s Norwalk River.

That same day, a human skull was found in a wooded area off Route 3 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

In the following days, the dismembered remains of 58-year-old Suzanne Wormser were discovered packed in a suitcase near the entrance of Colonel Ledyard Cemetery in Groton, Connecticut.

Her roommate was arrested but later died in custody.

On March 25, 59-year-old Denise Leary was discovered dead in New Haven, Connecticut.

A day later, the body of 56-year-old Michele Romano was found in Rhode Island woods.

Four more bodies surfaced in April across three states, including 45-year-old Meggan Meredith.

Before Suazo, the most recent case was 34-year-old Jasmine Wilkes, found in a New Haven park on May 30.

Massachusetts State Police Colonel Geoffrey Noble told the Boston Herald that he is “monitoring and tracking” the deaths despite there being no evidence of a serial killer.

“As a former homicide detective, certainly I am tracking the news of these tragic deaths,” he said.

“If we uncover similarities or consistencies between the cases, they have our attention for sure.”

Authorities stressed that death investigations are routine, with many later ruled non-criminal.

For now, families like Suazo’s are left searching for closure – and watching closely as the mystery deepens.
