Axios has released the full Special Counsel Robert Hur interview with Joe Biden regarding the classified documents discovered at his home and office. The interview took place over two days, October 8 and 9, 2023, involving Hur and his Deputy Special Counsel Marc Krickbaum. The recordings amount to over five hours of audio.

As previously reported, the released audio clips highlight Biden’s struggles, such as his inability to recall the date of his son’s passing or the time when Donald Trump initially assumed the presidency in January 2017.

A particularly tense moment occurred when Biden’s attorney, Bob Bauer, stepped in to correct Biden’s response about possessing a classified memo. Biden initially stated, in response to a leading question, that he was keeping it for posterity. Additionally, Biden went off on tangents unrelated to the interview, discussing topics like the Gutenberg printing press and recounting an experience of shooting a bow and arrow in Mongolia.
