He was known for his flamboyant style and wavy hair as a judge on MasterChef.
But Matt Preston has embraced a more relaxed look in recent years, as evidenced by the cover of his latest cookbook, Matt Preston’s World of Flavour.
The English-born food writer, 60, has ditched his sleek blazers and cravats in favour of a bright yellow shirt with the top buttons left loose.

Tan-tastic! Ex-MasterChef judge Matt Preston appeared notably different on the cover of his new cookbook, Matt Preston’s World of Flavour, which is set to be released on November 2.
He has also allowed his hair to naturally grey, and sports a remarkably deep tan.
‘So excited to show you the cover of my new book: Matt Preston’s World of Flavour,’ the TV personality wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.
‘It’s out here in Australia on November 2. Researching this book has pretty [much] been my life for the last year – and I’ve loved every moment!

Daddy vibes: The English food writer, 60, has let his hair naturally grey and now has a darker tan compared to his appearance when he was a judge on MasterChef.
‘From perfecting the 101+ delicious recipes, to delving into their histories and debunking the top myths behind the world’s most flavorful dishes to make at home, I’ve uncovered some astonishing information.
‘I’m even more excited to announce that this will be the first of two books with Penguin Books Australia. It’s great to be reunited with the team that published [2009’s] Cravat-a-Licious all those years ago.
‘Matt’s World of Flavour – out November 2 – is available to pre-order now at your favourite book seller.’

Changes: Matt has transformed his appearance since the release of his first cookbook in 2009
Matt’s new cookbook is his latest culinary venture since quitting his role as a judge on MasterChef last year.
He, along with fellow judges George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan, parted ways with the Channel 10 cooking show before the 2020 season over a pay dispute.
They were replaced by Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong.
