Ed Kelce has divulged all the juicy details from his son Travis Kelce’s magical proposal to Taylor Swift.

The couple, who have been dating since the summer of 2023, delighted fans around the globe Tuesday with news of their engagement.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s proposal to the 14-time Grammy winner, his father shared insights about his first conversation with his son. Travis called his dad shortly after asking the significant question.

“He had arranged for her to join him, and as they were preparing to go to dinner, he suggested, ‘Let’s head out and enjoy a glass of wine,’ … they went out, and that was when he proposed. It was a beautiful moment,” Ed, 74, explained to local outlet ABC 5 Cleveland.

According to the proud father, Travis and the “August” singer, both 35, got engaged a fortnight ago. Internet detectives speculated that Kelce proposed not long after they wrapped up their “New Heights” podcast recording.

On the proposal day, Ed mentioned he was attending a Philadelphia Eagles practice — where his oldest son, Jason Kelce, had played for 12 seasons until he retired in 2024.

“I was at an Eagles practice, a public session with many attendees, well, the Eagles had a crowd of about 60,000 for the public practice two weeks ago on a Sunday evening,” Ed shared with the outlet.

Ed then recalled receiving a FaceTime call from Travis.

“During that practice, I got a FaceTime call from them. When I noticed it was Travis on the line, and I saw Taylor with him, I instantly knew what they were going to tell me. They, you know, shared their news with us,” he stated.

“They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”

The father of two couldn’t help but gush over the 3-time Super Bowl champ’s love story with the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker.

“They’re just two young people very much in love, cast in a spotlight that they really haven’t sought but kind of followed with their success in their respective fields,” Ed added.

Elsewhere, Ed revealed that Swift had started to get “antsy” over the proposal.

“He was going to put it off till this week,” Ed told the outlet. “I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.”

“And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you,” he added.
