WASHINGTON — Representative Tom Kean Jr. of New Jersey has finally addressed the speculations surrounding his prolonged absence from Capitol Hill, attributing it to undisclosed health issues. The congressman has assured the public of his imminent return to his duties.
Kean, a prominent Republican from North Jersey, last participated in a House vote on March 5 and has since missed numerous voting sessions. The 57-year-old expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues for their patience as he manages a “personal medical issue.”
In a recent statement, Kean conveyed optimism about his recovery, saying, “My doctors have assured me that I will make a full recovery and will be back to the job I love very soon.” His remarks came shortly after questions about his extended absence began to surface.
