The New York City Police Department (NYPD) released body-camera footage on Thursday showing an officer tackling a 15-year-old who was allegedly involved in a shooting incident in Brooklyn.
In a video posted to X, police could be seen chasing a teen down a Brooklyn sidewalk and quickly removing a gun from his hip-area.
The teenager is facing charges for the unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, having a loaded firearm near a school, and possessing a gun.

According to NYPD officials who spoke with Fox News, the event transpired shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday following a 911 call reporting gunshots in the 67th Precinct.
Once officers arrived, they learned a boy had allegedly shot at another person.

Once spotted by law enforcement, the teen took off, leading officers on a chase down the street.
“A show-up with the witness was carried out, and the witness identified the detained individual as the shooter,” officials stated.
It is unclear if any additional charges are pending. A motive has not yet been released.
