Ossoff Demands RFK Jr. Resign Because of 'Gross Mismanagement' of HHS

During an episode of MS NOW’s “The Briefing” on Thursday, Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) criticized former President Donald Trump and his administration for perceiving U.S. military personnel merely as “pawns.”

Host Jen Psaki brought up the topic, saying, “You’re a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Many people express concerns about potential retaliatory attacks and the safety of our homeland due to various factors, including the perceived lack of preparedness by this administration. Is this a question you often encounter, and how do you address these worries?”

Senator Ossoff responded, “There’s no denying that the threat level is currently heightened. It’s something I frequently hear about, alongside concerns regarding the White House’s nonchalant approach to these matters. In a recent hearing, I highlighted how the president’s campaign sends out fundraising messages showcasing images of American service members in flag-draped coffins as they return home, having fallen in action. This tactic displays a shocking and disgraceful indifference to the ultimate sacrifices made by these service members, suggesting that the president and his administration view those in uniform as mere pawns. Such disregard is both disrespectful and unacceptable. In Georgia, a proud military state hosting significant defense installations, we deeply honor those who serve and have served. The disdain shown towards our military does not resonate well here.”
