JSO: One injured in overnight shooting near St. Johns Town Center

On the cusp of midnight this past Sunday, a shooting occurred near the St. Johns Town Center, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The incident unfolded at a McDonald’s located on Town Center Parkway.

Authorities revealed that a gun was fired into a vehicle occupied by five individuals. The motives behind this alarming act remain unclear. Fortunately, the shooting resulted in only one person sustaining an injury, which has been classified as non-life-threatening. The victim, who was shot in the leg, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital. There, they were able to meet with officers to provide details of the incident.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking any information that could shed light on this case. They encourage the public to reach out by calling 904-630-0500 or sending an email to jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org. The victim, who suffered from a gunshot wound to the leg, went to a nearby hospital, where they met with officers to discuss the incident.
