Miss United States and U.S. Rep. Cory Mills appear in court for restraining order hearing

Lindsey Langston is accusing Mills of threatening to release private images and videos of intimate moments with her.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Friday in Columbia County, Representative Cory Mills and the reigning Miss United States appeared before a judge concerning a restraining order case.

Lindsey Langston, a Lake City native, won the crown while competing as Miss Florida; she was crowned in Oct. 2024 and is still the title holder.

In August, she accused Mills of threatening to leak intimate photos and videos.

Police say the pair were romantically involved but broke up earlier this year.

In her testimony, Langston said Mills also threatened her future partners, and she said she feared for his mental health.

“I attempted to convey to Cory that he’s— he’s caused me pain. This entire situation has genuinely hurt me,” Langston stated in court. “Perhaps if he ever truly cared about me, he would recognize the harm he’s done and just allow me to leave with my dignity and move forward?”

Mills refutes the allegations, asserting that he has no plans to pursue a further relationship with Langston and did not intend to bother future partners.

A judge called a recess in Friday’s hearing without making a final ruling, so more testimony could be heard at a later date.
