HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KIAH) — Two parents are facing murder charges following the death of their 4-month-old daughter, Brookelynn Fancher. Authorities discovered the infant’s body inside a dresser drawer at a motel in May 2024, as shared by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on social media.

Sheriff Gonzalez stated that deputies from Harris County were dispatched to Rancho Mission Drive on May 26, 2024. The parents, Jeremy Fancher and Destiny Campos, had allegedly been residents of the motel for more than a year.

On Saturday, Sheriff Gonzalez announced that Campos had been apprehended and placed in the Harris County Jail. Fancher was subsequently arrested and detained in Tom Green County.

A third person, Jeremy’s current girlfriend Marilyn Jennifer Mork, was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension.

Also on social media Saturday evening, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez thanked law enforcement teams for their work in the investigation, and said the arrests bring justice closer for baby Brookelynn.

“I’m glad our team has remained relentless and sought justice for this precious infant.”
