NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A shooting at a country club left multiple gunshot victims, police in New Hampshire said Saturday night.
Nashua police have confirmed through video surveillance that there was only one shooter, who is currently in police custody. The investigation at the scene remains active, but authorities assure that there is no further threat to the public.
The shootings happened at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.
Information on the conditions of the victims was not immediately available.
An aerial view of the location shared by WMUR-TV showed multiple emergency responders arriving. Nashua police advised via their social platform X to “avoid the area of Sky Meadow for the time being.”
U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander issued a statement expressing that she is “closely monitoring the tragic reports of a shooting tonight at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.” She added that her thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire community.
Nashua is about 45 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of Boston, just across the Massachusetts border.
Dunstable, Massachusetts, which neighbors Nashua, issued a shelter-in-place order.
