Contrary to widespread speculation about dissent within Republican ranks over President Trump’s military actions in Iran, a new poll reveals strong party support. This survey, conducted by J.L. Partners and shared exclusively with The Post on Thursday, indicates that an overwhelming 83% of likely Republican voters either “strongly” or “somewhat” endorse Operation Epic Freedom. In contrast, a mere 9% of participants express opposition to the military intervention.
The poll further highlights that nearly 74% of respondents advocate for the United States to persist in its efforts until Iran’s military capabilities are completely dismantled. Meanwhile, 16% believe that President Trump should halt the campaign immediately.
Despite criticism from well-known media figures such as Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, who have voiced concerns about the president’s approach to the conflict with Iran, the survey underscores robust confidence in Trump’s leadership. A substantial 83% of likely Republican voters trust Trump’s judgment over that of the former Fox News hosts, who garnered only 6% trust. Additionally, 84% of respondents align more with Trump’s foreign policy perspectives than those of Carlson and Kelly, while 85% regard the president’s insights on international affairs as more credible than those of the commentators.
The survey, which was conducted on March 17-18, includes responses from 1,018 likely Republican voters and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
