Singer Pink spends New Year's Eve in hospital

On Wednesday, the pop sensation P!nk, known offstage as Alecia Beth Moore, took to Instagram to share a candid selfie from her hospital bed, extending well wishes to her fans for the new year.

The image captures the 46-year-old artist beaming at the camera, clad in a hospital gown with a bandage adorning her neck. The photo went live on her Instagram account just as the final days of the year were ticking away.

P!nk revealed that she rang in the New Year by undergoing a medical procedure to “fix” her body, now equipped with “two new shiny discs” in her neck.

In her heartfelt message, she reflected, “A new scar, a new reminder of how much I value this vessel I have, using it to the fullest. Rock ‘n’ roll truly is a contact sport.”

The post featured an extensive caption where she reminisced about the past year, describing 2025 as a journey ranging from “absolutely devastating to mildly annoying,” and shared her hopes for the year ahead.

Her post included a lengthy caption recalling memories from 2025 and what she hopes to happen in the new year after a 2025 that “ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying.”

“I said goodbye to incredibly important people, and I said hello to new ones. I’ve realized dreams this year, as well as nightmares,” she wrote. “I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made. I hope and pray every person can make that wish, have that choice.”

She said her family spent the new year “happily snowboarding” while she was in the hospital.

Moore encouraged fans to keep positive in the new year like she intended.

“Let’s do better for ourselves and for others. Let’s not be afraid to take care of ourselves and others,” she wrote. “I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. And I’m going to rage against the dying of the light. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness. #onwardsand upwards as my father used to say.”

Fans flooded the comments and racked up more than 500,000 likes on the post in 24 hours.

“Happy new year and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred,” Moore finished her caption with.
