A 22-year-old content creator has been apprehended on various drug charges, with a bail amount set at $3,500.
WASHINGTON — YouTube personality Jack Doherty, known for his prank videos, found himself in legal trouble over the weekend. The Miami Beach Police Department reported his arrest in the Miami area on Saturday, citing drug-related offenses.
Authorities allege that Doherty deliberately stepped into the middle of Washington Avenue around 3:12 a.m. to create video content. This action reportedly obstructed traffic and posed a safety hazard.
Despite police orders to vacate the roadway, Doherty allegedly resisted, stating he would comply “once I’m done with this bet,” as per the police report.
According to arrest records from NBC News, Doherty faces charges of controlled substance possession, marijuana possession, and resisting an officer without violence. The documents specify the substance involved was amphetamine.
Known for his daring pranks and stunts, Doherty boasts a significant online presence with over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, more than 10 million TikTok followers, and upwards of 3 million on Instagram.
Hours before his arrest, Doherty posted videos of himself on a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night out on the app Parti.
It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney. His bond was set at $3,500.
