Weather Impact Alert: Widespread rain & strong storms lead to slick roads Monday and Tuesday

Jacksonville, Fla. — After more than a month of dry conditions, Jacksonville is set to see its first significant rainfall this week. Scattered showers will begin on Monday, but not everyone will experience the rain. Those areas that do will face slippery road conditions as accumulated oil mixes with the fresh rain before it washes away. On Tuesday, expect more widespread rain accompanied by a few strong storms.

Timing: The rain will start around 2 p.m. on Monday, December 1, and will continue until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2.

What to Expect: Anticipate widespread rainfall and the potential for some strong storms.

Travel Advisory: Exercise caution while driving, as roads will be slick. Plan for extra travel time to accommodate possible delays. Stay informed of any severe weather developments by downloading the FCN+ app. Don’t forget to carry your rain gear on Tuesday morning.
