A man has been accused of threatening a neighbor and her family with a knife, as reported by the police.
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, authorities have detained a man from Interlachen for allegedly issuing threats to his neighbor and her pet.
The individual, identified as 61-year-old Minor Catledge, reportedly confronted his neighbor on Friday, October 17, near a public path adjacent to his property. He claimed ownership of the path and warned her that he would “eat her dog” if she trespassed again. Deputies from the PCSO arrived at the scene and initially managed to defuse the situation.
However, roughly an hour later, the same neighbor reported that Catledge had approached her property armed with a knife and began issuing further threats to her and her family. An Interlachen Police Officer, who arrived before the deputies returned, confirmed hearing these threats.
Catledge was subsequently arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault. Police allege that during his transport to the Putnam County Jail, he made additional threats, stating he would “beat” the victim upon his release.
