(NEXSTAR) – Chick-fil-A aims to succeed where McDonald’s did not by unveiling plans this week for its own beverage-centric spinoff concept.

The venture, Daybright, is set to launch its inaugural location in the coming months, offering coffee drinks, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and food. However, customers shouldn’t expect to find familiar Chick-fil-A items on the Daybright menu, as it will operate as an independent café, despite being led by a Chick-fil-A subsidiary.

“Daybright is a new beverage-focused restaurant concept and is scheduled to open in the Greater Atlanta area this fall,” a representative for Chick-fil-A, Inc. confirmed to Nexstar. “Daybright is brought to you by Red Wagon Ventures, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc. We look forward to sharing more details in the future!”

Red Wagon Ventures is also credited with developing Little Blue Menu, another Chick-fil-A restaurant idea, which made its debut in 2023. This single location in College Park, Maryland, offers traditional Chick-fil-A items alongside dishes like burgers, onion rings, and chicken wings. (Previously, Little Blue Menu also offered pizza, although that appears to have been discontinued.)

The Chick-fil-A spokesperson could not provide further information about Daybright or its menu. It is also unknown if the Atlanta location is the sole Daybright or if Red Wagon Ventures plans to expand the concept elsewhere.

The announcement of Daybright comes just a few months after McDonald’s retracted plans for its own beverage-focused cafes, called “CosMc’s,” which included seven locations in Texas and one at the company’s Chicago headquarters. In May 2025, McDonald’s announced the discontinuation of the concept, closing all locations by the end of the next month.

Chick-fil-A, meanwhile, has already launched several restaurant concepts outside of its namesake chicken chain. In addition to Little Blue Menu, Chick-fil-A’s sister restaurants include Dwarf House (four locations), Truett’s Grill (three locations) and Truett’s Luau (one location), all in Georgia.
