Real Salt Lake’s Thursday Leagues Cup matchup vs. Club Leon was ultimately postponed, but not before fans and media were met with an unwanted surprise during a weather delay.

Around 9pm local time, a raccoon was captured falling through the press box, leaving a massive hole in the ceiling.

The critter quickly jumped onto a popcorn machine in the room, but it wasn’t caught just yet.

The racoon made its way to a railing on the concourse level at America First Field, where stadium workers tried to shepherd it towards them with a broom.

The raccoon tumbled to the ground level of the stadium after falling off a railing on Thursday

Their attempts were unsuccessful, though, as the raccoon fell to the ground floor and took off.

In a video, fans could be seen chasing after the animal before it was later caught. 

As for the game itself, Real Salt Lake’s matchup with Club Leon was moved to Friday night at 7pm local time.

The winner of the game will advance to the last 16 of the Leagues Cup.

Salt Lake are currently third in MLS’ Western Conference.
