In a startling discovery during a home renovation, contractors in Washington State unearthed a cache of live, military-style hand grenades filled with TNT. The unexpected find prompted a swift response from the bomb squad and led to the temporary closure of a nearby road, according to officials.
The explosives were uncovered on a property in Ollala, a rural area within Kitsap County, as reported by the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon making the discovery, the workers immediately contacted the homeowners, who were absent during the renovation process. The concerned homeowners promptly dialed 911 to report the situation.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene to evaluate the contents of the case and subsequently notified the state bomb technicians. For safety reasons, the road adjacent to the residence was temporarily shut down.

The case was found to contain ten grenades along with blasting caps and additional explosive devices. Bomb technicians confirmed that the grenades were loaded with TNT, heightening the seriousness of the find.
