Require All Males Get Vasectomies at Puberty – RedState

If you have paid even a modicum of attention to the insanity of the left in the aftermath of Friday’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, you should not be surprised by this story in the least. That said, this is among the craziest reactions I’ve seen. Yet, that is. Ready for a real winner?

An Oklahoma State Democrat lawmaker has announced he’s planning to introduce a bill mandating that every male in the state, upon reaching puberty, by law, get a vasectomy. No, really. And there’s a caveat.

As delusional as the lawmaker and his planned bill are, his caveat smacks of something between the early goals of Planned Parenthood founder, eugenicist Margaret Sanger, and Adolf Hitler’s [I generally avoid “Hitler” references, but it’s applicable, here] twisted dream of an Aryan Nation.

As trumpeted by Occupy Democrats, the mandatory vasectomies would “only [be] reversible when they [affected males] reach the point of financial and emotional stability.”

Uh-huh. And who would make those decisions? Here’s how their tweet read.

BREAKING: Oklahoma Democrat announces that he’s planning to introduce a bill that will “mandate that each male, when they reach puberty, get a mandatory vasectomy that’s only reversible when they reach the point of financial and emotional stability.” RT IF YOU SUPPORT HIS BILL!

Nope, that doesn’t sound like politically driven population control in a police state, at all.

As reported by Fox News, Oklahoma State Rep. Mickey Dollens claimed his proposal was “tongue and cheek,” meant solely as a farcical response to the Republican-controlled state legislature’s ban on abortion. Was it? Dunno. But I do know, as is the case with all humor, that the closer to reality, the funnier the “joke.” In this case, it’s hilarious.

As reported by my colleague Susie Moore, Oklahoma now has the “strictest” abortion law in America.

The law, similar to the law recently passed by Texas, has a civil enforcement mechanism rather than criminal prosecution. It provides for civil lawsuits to be brought by private citizens (not the state) against any person who performs an abortion in violation of the act or “aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise.”

As to Dollens, I have to believe that even if his proposal was “tongue in cheek,” as he claims, the obviously-leftist Democrat would have owned the hell out of his suggested bill if it had been widely received in the state legislature. Dollens told Fox News:

[The abortion ban] allows people to sue doctors for performing an abortion and defines life at the moment of ‘fertilization.’ Here’s an idea: mandatory vasectomies – if signed into law would be the first Oklahoma statute to control the male reproductive system. No more unwanted pregnancies.

Not to nitpick, Mickey, but how about no more irresponsible people using abortion as birth control?

And, Mickey? you do know that your proposed “tongue-in-cheek” legislation could not discriminate on the basis of sex, right? So, your bill would have to include the sterilization of females, as well. Lemme know how that goes over.

Then again, these crazy women might render “all of the above” moot.

Why does “cutting off your nose to spite your face” come to mind, here? Besides, have you ever noticed that the “birthing people” who propose ridiculous “sex strikes” generally appear to be among those who have the least to “fear”? Sorry, not sorry.

Meanwhile, young dudes in Oklahoma, you might want to sleep with one eye open–at least for a while.
