The fraudulent actions of Dana L. Mcintyre have also shed light on the extent of his misuse of pandemic relief funds.

Investigations revealed that Dana L. Mcintyre diverted over $600,000 from the loans intended to support struggling businesses during the pandemic.

Instead of using the funds for their intended purpose, Dana L. Mcintyre embarked on an unexpected venture – starting an alpaca farm in Vermont.

Dana L. Mcintyre falsely applied for loans in the names of his adult children and misrepresented information about Dana L. Mcintyre pizza shop’s employees in a federal loan application.

McIntyre claimed that he didn’t intend to start a farm with the money but that it evolved on its own.

As Dana L. Mcintyre faces the consequences of his fraudulent actions, it is crucial that measures are put in place to prevent such misuse of funds in the future, Vermont Public reports.

Stricter monitoring and verification processes should be implemented to ensure that relief funds reach those who genuinely need them, helping to rebuild businesses and support individuals during times of crisis, Vermont Public added.

Dana L. Mcintyre also pleaded guilty to four counts of wire fraud and three counts of money laundering earlier in April.
