Rosie O’Donnell, the well-known liberal actress and comedian, issued an apology on social media after she incorrectly identified the Minneapolis Catholic church school shooter as a MAGA supporter, a Republican, and a white supremacist.
Last Thursday, O’Donnell posted a video after learning about the attack that left two children dead and 18 others injured, 15 of them kids.
Reflecting on the incident, the comedian mentioned that it brought back memories of the 1999 Columbine massacre, a time when she couldn’t fathom how American students could resort to shooting each other at schools.
In her comments about the Minneapolis event, O’Donnell noted its occurrence at a Catholic school and remarked, “It turns out, a white guy, a Republican, a MAGA affiliate. Who would have guessed? White supremacists.”

Her statements were made shortly after the gunman launched an attack during a Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, where the school’s students were in attendance.
The gunfire shattered stained-glass and pew-side windows as students and parishioners ducked for cover.
FBI Director Kash Patel said Thursday the “barbaric” attack appeared to be an act of domestic terrorism “motivated by a hate-filled ideology.”
The shooter’s manifesto, shared by Patel, contained anti-Catholic and anti-religious rhetoric, as well as aggressive antisemitic commentary. It included statements like “Israel must fall” and “Free Palestine,” mixed with Holocaust-related insults.
