Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are no strangers to disasters, and they are currently in central Texas, assisting those affected by recent floods. These dedicated volunteers are working to help residents clean up and find hope through their faith.
“Samaritan’s Purse is here to act as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, assisting with cleaning up yards and homes,” said Jason Kimak, Senior Director of North American Ministries for Samaritan’s Purse, to Fox News Digital. “Volunteers join us from across the country, including locals, motivated to help people recover. They also aim to bring comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.”

“Our goal is to reassure them of our support. We come representing Jesus’ love. We want them to know that others are thinking about them, praying for them, and that God loves them unconditionally, which is our central mission,” Renee told Fox News Digital.
“It’s strange that people think that we’re here just to do disaster work, clean up, and that’s not the mission. It’s the mission to speak the gospel of Jesus Christ. We spread hope because so many of these people are just hopeless,” Tony said. He noted that Samaritan’s Purse volunteers encounter people who believe in Jesus, those who don’t and some who have “not been in the Word.”
