Ready to get “ghosted” at the altar?
Disneyland is offering devoted fans the unique opportunity to exchange vows in front of its legendary Haunted Mansion attraction. However, this enchanting yet eerie wedding experience comes with a hefty price and an even more daunting early start.
The newly introduced wedding package requires couples to part with at least $40,000 and to profess their “I boos” before the park officially opens. This means ceremonies are scheduled for the spine-tingling hour of 5:20 a.m., necessitating an early rise for the bride, groom, and their guests.
One skeptical Disney enthusiast aired concerns on Reddit, noting, “It’s a lot to ask of everyone, including me, to haul out in the middle of the night.”
This gothic-inspired wedding takes place on the steps of the Haunted Mansion in Anaheim, with a strict guest limit of 25. The intimate setting offers a ceremony that feels more like a private séance than a conventional wedding celebration.
The gothic-themed affair will take place on the steps of the Haunted Mansion in Anaheim and are limited to just 25 guests, making the exclusive affair feel more like an intimate séance than a traditional wedding.
That breaks down to about $1,600 per guest â just to sit in a folding chair near a fake graveyard.Â
And don’t expect a long celebration â the entire experience clocks in at about an hour, with guests departing by 6:30 a.m.
The $40K starting price covers the basics: an officiant, “light” decor, minimal lighting, photography, and transportation from a Disney resort hotel.
However, seasoned Disney pros warn that once you add in mandatory floral arrangements and professional Disney entertainment â plus taxes, services charges, tips, etc â that bill is going to climb faster than a ghost in an elevator.
The eerie offering is part of Disney’s “Fairy Tale Weddings” lineup and is set to officially launch in July 2026.
“The decor is a bit… lacking,” one observer snarked at the announcement. “Not to mention the guests who have to cozy up to the LL scanners. I’m still gonna be jealous of anyone who gets to do it though.”
Dropping tens of thousands of dollars for a quick pre-dawn ceremony might seem like peak “Disney adult” energy, but it definitely adds a dark twist to the occasion.
Home to its famously eerie Black Widow bride and 999 “happy haunts,” the interest in marking a big event at the popular ride is high.
For the grown up and already married Disney crowd, the venue is prompting them to pursue a follow up.
“Might need to renew some vows soon,” one enthusiast commented. The sentiment was echoed by hundreds online.
