It’s been almost a week since 55-year-old Patricia “Patsy” Reed was last seen or heard from. Her family is eager for answers and is asking the public for assistance.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s been nearly a week since Patricia “Patsy” Reed disappeared and her family is desperate for answers.

For the last six days, Sonya Mynes has been hanging up flyers of her sister Patricia Reed around Jacksonville.

Mynes spoke with sister on the day she vanished, she says this is unlike her and hopes the public can help find her.

“She’s a really sweet person, a really helpful person,” said Mynes.

Sonya Mynes recounts the last conversation she had with her. On the afternoon of August 22, the two sisters spoke on the phone for nearly six hours.

Sonya said Patricia told her she had just gotten out of her car that was stuck in a ditch near Jones road near the Dinsmore community.

“She was disoriented, she really wasn’t sure where she was, she was confused and lost,” said Mynes.

Then her sister’s phone died and she hasn’t seen or heard from her since.

“She still has her vehicle with her, which hasn’t been found. It was last detected entering Starke by the tag readers, but was not picked up by any more after that. From her last communication, she mentioned reaching Jacksonville.”

Sonya said this is completely out of character for her sister who works six days a week and lives a quiet life.

Police, along with Sonya, have been combing through Plummer, Ford, and Acree roads—potential locations where she might have been. Unfortunately, their search has yet to locate her or her black Dodge Durango.

“I’ve been knocking on doors, showing people her picture and asking if I could search their backyards,” Sonya explained. “I’ve likely driven down this road around 30 times already. We follow up on every lead we’re given.”

The incident report from the Jacksonville sheriff’s office notes that Patricia doesn’t have any known mental health issues or previous incidents of disappearing, and there are no indications of foul play involved.

Her loved ones say they hope to find her safe, soon.

“She’s a nice person. She never did anybody wrong, and we’d love to have her back,” said Mynes.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively looking for Patricia Reed.

If you make contact with her or have any information on her whereabouts, please call the Jacksonville sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500.
