LOS ANGELES — Celebrating a remarkable milestone, “DIVAS Simply Singing! Raising Health Awareness” marks its 35th anniversary with a special one-hour broadcast. This event pays tribute to activists and healthcare leaders dedicated to promoting health awareness and catalyzing social change.
This annual benefit concert, orchestrated by Emmy Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph in collaboration with The DIVA Foundation, is a cornerstone in raising both awareness and funds. The initiative supports programs focused on preventing HIV/AIDS and addressing other critical health challenges.
This year’s lineup boasts performances from acclaimed artists such as Andra Day, Jenifer Lewis, and Mickey Guyton, alongside “Abbott Elementary” actor Larry Owens. Notable appearances include “Grey’s Anatomy” star James Pickens Jr., “Abbott Elementary” star Lisa Ann Walter, and renowned influencer Tabitha Brown, among others.
In a memorable event held in November 2025, the Ivy Ralph Legend of Distinction Award was posthumously awarded to Jewel Thais-Williams. Dr. Maya Green received the Wellness Warrior Award, while Lula Washington was honored with the Artistic Activism Award.
Over its rich history, “DIVAS Simply Singing!” has evolved into the world’s longest-running concert dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness, underscoring its enduring impact and commitment to health advocacy.
