High school teacher arrested in alleged sex case involving student

A teacher from Georgia found herself in legal trouble this past Wednesday following accusations of inappropriate interactions with a minor student at Lee County High School. The news has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting concerns over student safety and professional conduct within educational environments.

Danielle Weaver, a 29-year-old resident of Leesburg, faces serious charges, including child molestation and improper sexual contact by an employee, agent, or foster parent. These charges were officially brought forth by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI), a key player in unraveling the details of this troubling case.

The initial investigation began when Lee County High School reached out to the Leesburg Police Department on February 3, seeking to address the allegations swiftly and effectively. The situation escalated the following day as the GBI was called in to provide their expertise and resources, underscoring the gravity of the allegations.
