A startling, previously unseen photograph surfaced on Friday, showing former Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, casually lounging barefoot in a bathrobe alongside Jeffrey Epstein and British diplomat Peter Mandelson. This image was part of a file release by the US Department of Justice.
The photograph captures the disgraced ex-royal, stripped of his princely title, relaxing outdoors at a table with Mandelson, who is similarly attired in a robe and without shoes, while Epstein sits beside them fully dressed.
Three mugs adorned with American flags and two water glasses are visible on the wooden table around which the trio is gathered, adding an air of casual camaraderie to the scene.
The exact date and context of the photograph remain unknown, but it is believed to have been taken on Martha’s Vineyard sometime between 1999 and 2001. This was before Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution.
A related image of Mandelson appeared in Epstein’s infamous 2003 “birthday book,” a collection that highlighted the financier’s controversial and often problematic relationships with influential individuals.
Both Andrew and Mandelson have faced significant backlash for maintaining close ties with Epstein following his conviction. Mandelson’s association with Epstein nearly triggered a scandal that threatened the stability of the UK government.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who appointed Mandelson, has insisted Mandelson “lied repeatedly” about his friendship with the ultra-wealthy sexual predator before and during his time working as US ambassador.
A recently released dossier, however, reportedly reveals Starmer was warned about “general reputational risk” posed by Mandelson’s link to Epstein, according to reports.
Last month, ex-prince Andrew was arrested on charges that he shared confidential government information with Epstein — the first time a senior royal has been taken into custody in nearly 400 years.
He had already lost almost everything over his friendship with the perv and his madam, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, including his royal titles and even his home.
